Here are some fun upcoming events at NEXT and Downtown Wake Forest.

 COOL DOWN IN DOWNTOWN, 

Saturday, August 7^th

 Here we are in the “Dog Days of Summer”, but you can come downtown to cool off!  This Saturday you will receive free ice-cold water and a coupon to be used at a participating downtown business.  We are offering a coupon for a jewelry shopping-spree with 15% off your jewelry purchases at NEXT.  The catch is that you have to draw our coupon at another of the participating downtown stores.  When you draw a coupon at our shop, you will receive savings at another downtown store.  You can only pull out one coupon at each store, but the more stores you visit, the more coupons you can collect.  And you don’t have to use the coupons on Saturday, but may save them for a later date.  Many have asked when the jewelry will go on sale – Well, here’s your chance!

 TAX FREE WEEKEND SALE

August 6^th – 8^th

You can buy clothing and shoes tax-free at NEXT this Friday through Sunday thanks to the North Carolina Department of Revenue.  We will add a 10% sale to clothes and shoes to give you a total savings of 17.75%.  We have started collecting Fall clothing this week, so we’ll have a great selection to choose from for the weekend.  We still have lots of great buys on summer things too!

 ART AFTER HOURS

Friday, August 13^th

Enjoy the music of Larry Kirwan on Hammered Dulcimer in person at NEXT from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.  He plays different styles of music, from mystic and sprightly Celtic selections, to crisp and precise Baroque works, to the occasional folk-rock tune.  Refreshments will be served and we will be open, along with other downtown businesses, until 9:00 PM.  Come catch a free horse-drawn carriage ride, weather permitting, and hear live music at other locations too. 

NEWS

I want to take this opportunity to welcome Jen to our team.  I’m sure you will enjoy her warm smile, helpful demeanor, and expertise in the retail clothing business.  She will be working with Amber this Saturday, so come and greet her.

I have to relate a phone call that I overheard in the shop.  A nice young guy was calling his wife and said, “Hey, you gotta come check this place out.  They have really nice stuff!”  Why was he so surprised?  And more importantly, what man calls his wife and tells her to come spend money on clothes?

Don’t forget that we are open Sundays, 1:00 – 5:00.  We will be closed on Labor Day, Monday Sept. 6^th.  Take care and come see us.
